DESCRIPTION:Join Palm Springs International Piano Competition as we open our 2023-24 season with an evening of fiery Latin music for cello and piano\, featuring world renowned cellist Sara Sant'Ambrogio in her first desert appearance in nearly two decades. Joining her will be pianist Robert Koenig\, in his debut performance as Artistic Director of the Palm Springs International Piano Competition. In celebration of their hotly anticipated new CD recording of Latin music "Ecstasy"\, the duo will perform popular favorites by Piazzolla\, De Falla\, Granados\, and Ginastera. This incredible performance will be followed by a post-concert reception that celebrates Latin culture\, music and food.
