At the age of 9, my family made a bold move to the Coachella Valley, leaving behind our life in Mexico for the promise of better opportunities. Landing in the city, I navigated the unfamiliarity of a new culture and language, facing the first of many challenges.

Completing my elementary education at Landau in Cathedral City, fifth grade was a blur as I grappled with the language barrier. Little did I realize that this struggle was shaping me into someone who could simplify complexities and help others understand the world around them.

In my teenage years, working in a Palm Springs restaurant exposed me to conversations on philanthropy, education, service, impact and community. It dawned on me that my purpose was to utilize the opportunities around me to help those who might not understand the resources available to them.

Inspired by my family's values and my dad's advice to always leave people better than you found them, I found resonance with Edward Jones. Their ideology aligns with my belief in being not just a part of the community but actively contributing to it.
